Superstar Harry Styles Breaks Billboard Chart Records
Harry Styles has broken a number of Billboard chart records.
The "As It Was" hitmaker has spent 14 weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 Songs Chart, and now holds the title for the "fourth-longest reign" in Billboard Hot 100 history, as well as the longest running solo number one song. Furthermore, the hit has become the only song in history to spend 24 weeks in the top three on the same chart.
Styles' third solo album, Harry's House, has also been nominated for the prestigious 2022 Mercury Prize in the UK. And the 28-year-old pop star is already working on his next album in-between shows. During a recent interview, "The Late Night Talking" singer spilled in a recent interview: "I’m always writing.
"I think all of us are so excited to get back to it, which feels insane because we’ve just put an album out."
Meanwhile, the former One Direction star is currently still playing residencies in the U.S., with his final night at New York's Madison Square Garden tomorrow night on Wednesday, September 21. The American run will wrap with 15 nights at Los Angeles' Kia Forum, and conclude on November 15.
Last night (Monday, Sept. 19) Styles attended the New York City premiere of the psychological thriller 'Don't Worry Darling' in which he stars alongside actress Florence Pugh playing a seemingly perfect couple whose life in an L.A. town begins to fall apart. Filming for the movie set in the 1950's began in September 2020, with several pauses in production because of Covid-19 outbreaks.
