Hurts will be performing at the 2011 Shockwaves NME Awards ceremony, the magazine has confirmed. 

The Manchester based synth-duo are nominated for Best New Band and will take the stage at Brixton's O2 Academy during the event on February 23 to play their single 'Wonderful Life'. The NME have also reported that Hurts have promised "some surprises" during their performance. 

The band will also be appearing at the 2011 Isle of Wight Festival and were featured on Graham Norton's most recent show, where they played 'Sunday'. Watch the clip below:
