WILLO PERRON PARTNERS WITH ARITZIA FOR DESIGN COLLABORATION

Acclaimed designer Willo Perron collaborates with Aritzia on two exclusive pop-up boutiques in New York City and Los Angeles.

Both boutiques feature Super WorldTM inflatable installations, modular grid racking systems that can be flat packed and easily transported and a diorama installation. Custom furniture and displays help create an aspirational retail environment with a clean, in- the-moment design aesthetic inspired by the Super Puffs and Super Fleece and showcasing the full assortment for both men and women. The 60 feet high by 13 feet wide state-of-the-art 4-G screen panels will feature the seasonal campaign and the Super Puff’s exclusive Climate Lab detailing the technical aspects of the garments.

"The Aritzia store pop-up wants to be playful and whimsical while simultaneously exist as a polished and elegant place,” explained Willo Perron of his approach to this design. “The big inflatable element is an obvious nod to The Super Puff and its signature super plush comfort. It’s fun and a bit boisterous, it should make you feel like you want to jump into a big puffy jacket. The framework on the other hand contrasts the softness of the inflatable, yet there’s still something really calming about that rhythm, it’s almost like a drum beat. The entangled inflatable and the structured frame are perfectly in sync, almost dancing. We wanted to design a space that was visually exciting so we treated it the same way we would treat designing live performances.”

In New York, The Super WorldTM pop-up kicks off a long-term lease of the iconic former Dean & DeLuca space at Soho’s Broadway and Prince and encompasses the full main floor footprint. In Los Angeles, Aritzia will pop-up in the landmark building previously held by Fred Segal at Melrose Avenue and Crescent Heights Boulevard.
