‘Unfold’ is a musical auto-biography.  It tells a tale of existance, from the eyes and heart of Michael Reeve, one of the UK’s best up and coming singer songwriters. Lead tack ‘Here We Are’ is a perfect snapshot of a moment in this journey, and an excellent example of the passionate depth this artist displays on ‘Unfold’.

Influenced from a wide selection of music, from the honest song writing styles of Ryan Adams and Bob Dylan to the larger soundscapes of Radiohead and Bon Iver, Leeds and Lincolnshire based singer songwriter Michael Reeve has songs that likewise range from stripped back intimate acoustic sounds to large layered intense tracks.  ‘Here We Are’, and the EP from which it is taken, is a continuation of his story, after his previous release ‘Between Two Lies’ gained him recognition, features and airplay from BBC6 Music, BBC Radio Lincolnshire and BBC Introducing.  He was selected in the top 20 of Acoustic Magazine’s Singer Songwriter competition to find the best unsigned songwriter in the UK where he played at the live finals to reach the Top 5 of the competition out of 1000’s.  Michael also advanced through to the voting stages for MTV Brand New Unsigned 2013, was nominated and placed in the Top 5 of the Online Music Awards, as well as the MRU Awards for 'Best UK Act'. His music has also been featured at Cannes Film Festival.

The latest recordings have inspiring quality and immense depth – as do Michael’s live shows. Previously, he has supported Young Rebel Set on their last two European tours. He has been invited to support artists such as Stu Larsen, Stefan Melborne and the talented Frank Hamilton, not to mention the hugely talented Nadine Shah during her European tour.

Michael’s New EP ‘Unfold’, due for release on Monday 26th May, is sure to enable him to continue his narrative by giving more and more opportunities and experiences to this spellbinding artist.  He is already set to tour the new record in May and June in the UK, Including a showcase performance as part of Brighton’s prestigious Great Escape Festival.
