Introducing: The Slytones Psychedelic Sideshow Melodious Monsters Release A and B Side Single

With a sound that encompasses everything from schizophrenic fairground avant-pop with queasy skanking swamp-ska to crunching left-brain hard rock and mad scientist anti-funk, this twelve-legged monster of a band are a mind boggling creative force.

The Slytones are on a path to discover new, weird and wonderful ways to be musically expressive. To be released on Monday 18th May, their new single ‘She Said She Came From The Sea’ is like the epitaph of conformity;
it’s B-Side ‘Time Don’t Wait For Strangers’ a paramedic for real music.

Formed in 2006 as a trio, these clown-faced fidgets from the sunny south coast have since expanded into a well-oiled sextet and are gleefully injecting some theatricality, colour and mischievous menace back into a British rock scene that too often chases its own tail to no avail.

Appearing at as part of their hometown Brighton’s very own The Great Escape Festival this May as part of a run of dates up and down the UK the band are incredibly excited to be releasing the first single from their debut album which is released later this year.

“The plan was always to make any noise we want and to write music however we felt like at the time. We want to say anything to the world we want, to express our personalities as clearly and transparently as possible. It’s about urges, desires, needs, flaws, thoughts, beliefs…” Ashley Edwards (Frontman)

As the band themselves proudly state: “The Slytones have created a monster. It is called The Slytones.”
