Moulettes Release Teaser Video Ahead of UK TourMoulettes are a Brighton based British band of Björk, Frank Zappa and Gentle Giant loving Multi instrumentalists that weave in and out of several genres with 3 part harmony female vocals, amplified Cello, distorted Bassoon, Auto-Harp, Guitar, Drums, Bass and Synths into an incomparable Alt.pop/rock/folk Universe. Since the success of ‘Constellations’ (No.7 Indie Charts, Spiral Earth Best Album 2014), Bajian Irish Londoner Raevennan Husbandes has joined the band to play Electric Guitar and Vocals. With this new lineup the band have been writing and recording their 4th album (Release Spring 2016) during the week and playing many festivals over the weekend. They will be showcasing more and more new material as they continue on the road, as well as preparing some live collaboration with No1 Artist Nizlopi on tour. On their return from touring in Canada and Europe in early Autumn the band are looking forward to announcing some new special guests in Pop, Prog and Folk for the coming album. The album is a concept album about strange creatures. Singles from their eponymous release in 2010 (****Mojo), their follow up 'The Bear's Revenge' in 2012 (****The Guardian) and third studio album 'Constellations' (Best Album: Spiral Earth Awards) have been played by several DJ's on BBC6 and BBC2 (Cerys Mathews, Mark Radcliffe, Mary Anne Hobbs, Bob Harris,Tom Robinson, Laura Laverne). Moulettes’ eclectic style of Indie-Pop testifies to the scope of their creativity; which has drawn together such a varied ensemble of featured artists including legends Arthur Brown (God of Hellfire) and Herbie Flowers (LouReed, Bowie), as well as contemporaries Blaine Harrison (MysteryJets), The Unthanks and Emma Richardson (Band Of Skulls) and many more. From starting playing together at school in Glastonbury to residencies on Tin Pin Alley, to a multitude of festivals (Glastonbury, Bestival, Cropredy, Cambridge Folk, End Of The Road, Green Man) and relentless world touring they have become renowned for their breath-taking live shows. On the way the band have shared the stage and studio with well known artists in Folk, Prog, Pop and Rock, including Mick Jagger, Nick Cave, Seasick Steve, Bonobo, Gentle Giant, Mumford and Sons (Ted Dwane was a founding Moulette), Dave Gilmour (Pink Floyd), Bellowhead, The Levellers, and many more.
