Zrazy’s first album in ten years sees a return with electrifying diversity***ON TOUR NOW***www.zrazy.com www.youtube.com/zrazy
Ireland’s Zrazy blissfully combine silky and searing vocals with a stunning musicality of mature soul, pop and jazz-electronica in their innovative new album, ‘The Art of Happy Accidents’.
This unique release is sure to add to their list of accolades which include an array of global awards including the OutMusic USA Award for Best Album with ‘Dream On’ and Best Jazz Song with ‘Remember, (that you did it first with me)’, beating out Jazz giant Fred Hersch, and an Irish Gold Disc for No1 smash hit single ‘Ooh Aah Paul McGrath’ (Italia ’90). Set for release Monday 2nd November, Zrazy deliver their long-awaited new album with flawless style and belief. Combining the pop and electronic elements of their first two albums with the jazz and improvisational freedom of the award-winning Private Wars and Dream On, The Art of Happy Accidents sees two consummate musicians and songwriters at the peak of their powers.
From their beginnings, Zrazy have tackled social and political issues head-on through their music from feminism to abortion to gay rights, leading to an outright ban on Ireland’s national radio – an issue covered by France’s ARTE TV. Whilst never one’s to shy away from social issues, now Zrazy are just out to enjoy themselves with ‘The Art of Happy Accidents’ showing their love of music. The renowned Playwright and screen-writer Frank McGuinness (Dancing at Lughnasa with Meryl Streep, Julie Walters etc) launches the album in Dublin Oct 20th. The Dublin-based jazz-popsters play a collection of special shows in October & November 2015.
