Just Announced: Irish Punk Rocker To Close Liverpool Pride and Headline Exclusive London Show.

 

Following his triumphant occupancy of the coveted Number 1 spot at the heights of the Irish Rock Charts, JD Kelleher returns with the defiant Punk Rock heavyweight “Imagery”, released Friday 8th July, seeing him called upon to headline the Pride Celebrations in Liverpool on 30th – 31st July, 2016.

Irish rocker Kelleher draws upon his unique ability to connect with his audience across all platforms of performance, effortlessly bridging the gap between performer and listener. The soaring vocals, driving guitars and empowering message of “Imagery” lifts the listener high above the realms of mere mortals, leaving the feeling of standing 10ft tall.

Singer and Actor JD Kelleher, is known for his roles as Willie Pearse in TV mini-series 1916 The Forgotten Seven and Breandán Mac Gearailt in Irish soap Ros na Rún. The enigmatic performer has previously been at the forefront of Ireland’s “Yes Vote” ahead of the Marriage Equality Referendum. JD Kelleher announced his arrival with the heartfelt and poignant cover of Joy Division’s 1980s post-punk classic: “Love Will Tear Us Apart” which shot straight to Number 1 in the Irish Rock Charts and across all Digital platforms.

To track his self-confessed “autobiography in three minutes”, Kelleher took his band to AB Studios in El Vendrell, Spain, the birthplace of his critically acclaimed debut. Recapturing his victorious formula and cementing his meteoric rise to the top of the Punk Rock scene, Imagery is released Friday 8th July via Lonely Child Records.
