Following their stunning BBC Radio 2 live session, indie/folk pioneers “Speak, Brother” cement their arrival as the most promising band of the movement with the sublime, “He’ll Fight”, released 12th May 2017.

Boasting a powerful sound and full arrangements, Speak, Brother layer lush vocal harmonies over their rustic instrumentation in the inspiring “He’ll Fight”. With heartfelt lyrical storytelling, driving melodies and passionate performance, the 4-piece from Rugby have been compared to Athlete, Ben Howard and The Swell Season.

“This is a story about grace and believing in someone when no one else will.“ James Herring, ‘Speak, Brother’

Singer and guitarist James Herring explains: He'll Fight is inspired by a story I'd heard on the radio about a drug addict who was on trial for something. The judge decided that her addiction was the source of her problems and deemed community service and rehab to be better than jail. She later re-offended for the same thing. The original judge followed the second trial only to hear that she was sent to jail this time. He appealed and fought for her and eventually became her mentor. She is currently free from addiction and living a wholesome life.“

Vulnerable and honest vocals combine effortlessly with an ethereal musical soundscape to create a sound that launces Speak, Brother to the forefront of their genre. It’s no surprise that their music has already earned them airplay on BBC Radio 2, BBC WM, BBC Introducing and their single Lions Roar” hit No. 14 in the iTunes chart.
