Birgitte Karlsen gets deep and books her tickets to London:

“Our journeys are somehow defined by who we meet”

Her last EP, ‘Melody’, was an adeptly written collection of songs that have been said to reflect the creator: “Dreamy, fun and down to earth”. A Norwegian native and singer song writer, Brigette Karlsen has new material in the works which will be released in the form of her latest EP ‘Forside’, and is set for showcase in three London exclusive shows at the end of the month.

On the subject of her song writing, Birgitte has revealed where her ideas spawn from:

“I mostly get inspired by other people and their thoughts and conversations. I believe our journeys are somehow defined by who we meet.”

The concept of using other people, their thoughts and conversations has been a source of inspiration for many artists across most mediums for years. The value of this idea however doesn’t seem to be acknowledged or explored very often. Luckily, the dream pop sound that Birgette creates seems so verily suited to handle the task.

‘Forside’ will be available in the UK on Monday 26th November

Be sure to catch Birgitte Karlsen at one of her following London showcase dates this November:

Wednesday    28th     The George & Vulture Hoxton
