ITV reveals exciting all-star line-up for The Voice UK

- Legendary artist Sir Tom Jones makes a triumphant return alongside superstar coach will.i.am

- Grammy and Oscar-winning Jennifer Hudson debuts on the panel

- Multi-Platinum Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale completes the line-up

Global music stars Sir Tom Jones, Jennifer Hudson and Gavin Rossdale will join top selling artist will.i.am as coaches on The Voice UK when the search for a new vocal talent moves to its new home on ITV.

Sir Tom returns to the panel after proving a viewer favourite on the first four series of The Voice UK, winning the debut final in 2012.

The Welshman has had a huge career spanning six decades, selling more than 100 million records and clocking up 36 Top 40 hits in the UK and 19 in the USA, continuing to achieve remarkable popular and critical success for his recent work.

He is also the recipient of Brit Awards for Best Male and Outstanding Contribution to Music, a Grammy, the Silver Clef for Lifetime Achievement, the Hitmaker Award from the US Songwriters Hall of Fame and the UK Music Industry Trust Award.

Sir Tom says: “I’m looking forward to returning to my big red chair on The Voice UK. I had some great times on the show and I can’t wait to again discover and help some brand new talent. And of course be back with my pal will.i.am.”

Jennifer is a Grammy-winning recording artist, Oscar and Bafta-winning actress and Broadway star who has achieved global success since first finding fame on the third season of American Idol

Her self-titled debut album sold 1.1 million copies worldwide while her performing credits include singing at President Obama’s inauguration, Super Bowl XLVII and the Academy Awards, where she won Best Supporting Actress for her role as Effie in the smash hit Dreamgirls

Jennifer is also a best selling author and made her Broadway debut in the musical The Color Purple in 2015. In December, she plays Motormouth Maybelle in the television special Hairspray Live

Jennifer says: “I couldn’t be more excited to join the amazing panel of coaches on The Voice UK! The UK has always been so supportive of me since the beginning of my career so I’m really looking forward to sharing my point of view with the contestants and especially Team JHUD. Discovering new artists has always been important to me and the UK has no shortage of talent, so I can only imagine what this experience will be like for everyone involved. I can’t wait to get going and start developing each individual’s own sound!”

British rocker Gavin has racked up huge success on both sides of the Atlantic as lead vocalist, guitarist and main songwriter with his band Bush and as a solo artist, selling close to 20 million records in the US alone.

Bush were one of the most commercially successful rock bands of the 1990s, with their debut album Sixteen Stone going six times Platinum and their follow-up Razorblade Suitcase hitting number one in the US charts.

Gavin also found Top 40 success in the US with solo album Wanderlust and hit number one on the iTunes chart with single Love Remains the Same, which sold close to 2 million copies.

Bush returned in 2011 with The Sea of Memories, their first release in a decade. Gavin also received the prestigious Ivor Novello award for International Achievement from Coldplay’s Chris Martin in 2013.

He has previously appeared on the US version of The Voice as a guest mentor in 2014.

Gavin says: “I am so thrilled to be joining The Voice UK. I have always been extremely proud to fly the flag for British rock music and I can’t wait to join this incredible panel and help discover some new talent.”

Siobhan Greene, Head of Entertainment, ITV Network, adds: “We are absolutely chuffed to bits with the line up for the launch of The Voice UK on ITV.

“All four coaches are global artists in the music industry and are at the top of their game.

“They've got very different personalities and reasons for sitting in those chairs, but they are united in their desire to find a star. “We can't wait for viewers to see them and to see the show in action. Buckle up for the ride!" The Voice UK will be presented by Emma Willis and will air on ITV early next year.

The winner will scoop a life-changing recording contract with music giants Polydor Records, home to global music stars Take That and Ellie Goulding, as well as the UK’s biggest breakthrough artists, including The 1975 and Years & Years.
