Hell's Kitchen, Come Dine With Me, The Chase & more coming to Latin AmericaITV Studios Global Entertainment and Turner Latin America partner in exclusive non-scripted representation and formats production deal for Latin AmericaThe agreement will see seven renowned ITV Formats represented by Turner Latin America in six markets, including Alphabet Game, Hell’s Kitchen, Come Dine With Me, The Chase, The Audience, Brightest Family and The Rich ListOFFICIAL PRESS RELEASENEWS PROVIDED BY ITV Press Centre ITV Studios Global Entertainment (ITVS GE) – one of the world’s leading international TV distribution, home entertainment, publishing, merchandising and licensing businesses – and Turner Latin America – the region’s leading multiplatform media company part of Warner Media have announced a landmark format representation deal for several markets in Latin America, with one format under the new agreement being picked up already in Uruguay. Turner Latin America will represent a selection of ITV’s leading format brands in parternship with ITVS GE to secure new commissions in Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Uruguay and Peru. Additionally, Turner Latin America will be the exclusive production partner for the named shows, for both Turner-owned networks and third parties. The formats to be represented include the successful Alphabet Game* (Pasapalabra), sold to nine territories globally and now ordered by Canal 10 in Uruguay. The multi award-winning Argentine version of the show hosted by Iván de Pineda is produced by Turner for El Trece. On the heels of its success, the programme was also made in Chile, (Chilevisión), where it is hosted by Julián Elfenbein on Chilevision, which is indicative of the its potential to expand throughout the region. “In light of the success experienced in Argentina and Chile, we are confident that Alphabet Game has the potential to reach the whole region. And we have the know-how to make it happen”, said Richi Pichetto, VP Content Production, Turner Latin America. And he went on: “We are proud to be entrusted by ITV with their formats in Latin America. This alliance will enable us to continue to strengthen our comprehensive production division, for our own brands and for third parties”. Pascal Dalton, Vice President of Global Formats at ITV Studios Global Entertainment, said, “We are thrilled to be further delivering on ITVS GE’s global formats strategy by partnering with the strongest regional producers outside of our own production network. Turner have previously produced successful local versions of ITV’s formats in Latin America, so it made sense to springboard and formalise our collaboration on a bigger scale. It’s a very exciting way to kick off the new year”. Further world-leading ITVS GE formats to be included under the deal are: Hell’s Kitchen (sold in 21 territories), the cooking show initially made popular by Gordon Ramsay, which has been on the air for 18 seasons in the US; Come Dine with Me* (sold in 43 territories), a reality show where five strangers and amateurs cooks compete for the “best host” title; and The Audience (sold in 10 territories), a unique reality show where a group of total strangers help one participant make life changing decisions. The representation and production deal also includes the game-shows The Chase (sold in 12 territories) in which players must ensure they stay a step ahead of the intimidating Chaser, one of the finest and fiercest quiz brains of the nation; Brightest Family (sold in the UK) in which 16 brilliantly bright families take part in a knock out tournament as they compete to be crown the Nation's Brightest Family; and The Rich List (sold in 5 territories), where teams bid upwards against each other to predict how many examples of a particular subject they can list.
