The latest series of Love Island has been record-setting on Shazam, proving how powerful the emotional connection is to music and speaking to Shazam’s ability to help viewers discover the music and the artists they love.

*Over 1 million Shazams: that’s the number of tags that songs featured in Love Island have accumulated this series.

*5 one-day records smashed in the UK: the Top 5 Most Shazamed tracks in one day in the UK are now all tracks featured on Love Island, surpassing Florence + The Machine’s ‘Jenny of Oldstones’ which broke the one-day record in April, after being featured in the second episode of Game of Thrones' final season.

Joel Corry’s ‘Sorry’ is now the most Shazamed track in one day in the UK, and also from the series. The song received 41,000 Shazams on July 24th, leading to the track going straight to #1 in Shazam's UK charts the next day.

JOEL CORRY: "It feels amazing to break the UK record for the most Shazamed song ever in one day. My phone went into meltdown when it happened! It’s got everyone talking, and helped launch the single up the Official Charts. I’m just buzzing everyone is loving Sorry!"

Lusaint was the first artist to break a Shazam record when her cover of ‘More Than Friends’ became the Most Shazamed track in one day in the UK. The song was featured in the show on June 11th and received about 23,000 Shazams in the UK that day. The track hit the #1 position in Shazam's UK chart on June 16th.

Soon after, not one but two tracks broke the same record in one week, before being surpassed by Joel Corry.

On July 1st, 'Dance On The Table’ by London duo CLiQ broke the one-day record in the UK. The song received about 29,000 Shazams in the UK that day, and hit #1 in Shazam's UK Chart the next day.

On July 3rd, Grace Carter’s cover of 'Wicked Game’ smashed CLiQ’s record by receiving about 34,000 Shazams in the UK that day. The track also went to #1 in Shazam’s UK chart the next day.
