More than 11 million watch ITV’s The Pembrokeshire Murders launch

The launch episode of ITV’s new Drama series The Pembrokeshire Murders has been watched by 11.2 million viewers in the first week since it was broadcast. The overall audience includes catch up viewing of the first episode on ITV Hub, non-TV devices and repeats. The audience is the biggest new ITV Drama launch since Lewis in 2006.

The Pembrokeshire Murders, produced by World Productions, part of ITV Studios, is distributed internationally by ITV Studios, and was pre-sold to 20 countries ahead of its launch on ITV. These include: Australia (Network Seven), USA & Canada (Britbox), Germany (Deutsche Telekom Pay VOD, ZDF Free TV), Spain (Telefonica), Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, Hong Kong (BBC Asia Player), KT Corp (Korea), TVNZ (New Zealand), Poland (Canal+), Belgium (VRT), The Netherlands (NPO) Denmark (DR), Finland (YLE), Norway (NRK), Sweden (SVT), Greece (Cosmote), Ireland (Virgin Media Ireland). It will be available on Britbox in the UK after a period of exclusivity on ITV/ITV Hub and Virgin Media Ireland. More deals with international broadcasters and platforms are in negotiation.

The series, starring Luke Evans and Keith Allen, is available in full on ITV Hub.

The first episode of the third series of Bradley & Barney Walsh: Breaking Dad, which was shown on the same night as The Pembrokeshire Murders launch, opened with the biggest audience for the series ever. 5.8 million viewers - an increase of 0.1m compared to the previous series launch last year - tuned in to the six-part series, which continues on Monday nights on ITV at 8pm with catch up viewing available on ITV Hub.
