Had you watched The Masked Singer before?

Yes!

Did you have a favourite previous character?

In the current season I was in love with Poodle, even though I didn’t know who was behind the mask.

What made you decide to take on the challenge?

I love music and to be able to cover some of my favorite songs without judgment was awesome. I wanted to challenge myself and also how much FUN I knew it would be.

How hard is it to keep the secret?

It’s kinda hard lying to your family about your whereabouts especially since I was in an entirely different country. I felt horrible lying to them.

How excited are you for the big reveal and who do you think amongst your friends/family will be the most surprised?

I was getting so much love from the panel and audience and it made me so anxious to reveal who I am. I was enjoying them throwing out all of these other amazing names as well.

What did you think of your mask, your overall look and the character you got to play?

I must commend the costume designer and all of the amazing folk that helped get me dressed for every performance. I know they worked VERY hard on all of the characters. I had tonnes of fun hopping around and making noises backstage and onstage.

How about the clue packages - what kind of input did you have on those and do you have a favourite nugget of information from them?

There were extensive interviews to gather facts and obviously tonnes of word play to try and throw people off.

Were there any nerves when you first performed as your character or did being hidden inside the costume make you feel more confident?

YES, my first performance isn’t my favorite. I was still trying to figure out how to disguise the tone of my voice since it’s so recognizable to true Destiny’s Child fans. At the same time being hidden boosted my confidence by about 1,000 percent.

What did you think of the panel’s guesses?

I thought the panel’s guesses were HILARIOUS.

If you could wear your mask and costume just one more time what occasion would you choose to wear it to?

Ha, I’d love to wear it to the MET gala and Buckingham Palace for tea with the Queen!
