A host of ITV daytime stars from Good Morning Britain, Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women will be seen in a brand new behind-the-scenes promo launching on air after 6pm tonight (Saturday 16th April) during The Chase Celebrity Special.

The exciting sixty second sequence takes viewers on an exclusive tour with never-seen-before glimpses of the daytime studios, corridors and crew that help to deliver 7.5 hours of live television viewing each weekday from 6am until 1:30pm.

To capture the unique angles in this cinematic way, a special FPV [First Person View] drone weighing less than 250g was used to film the promo during a typical morning at the iconic Television Centre in White City, London.

ITV Daytime stars seen preparing for their shows include Susanna Reid, Ben Shephard, Kate Garraway MBE, Laura Tobin, Lorraine Kelly CBE, Lisa Snowdon, Phillip Schofield, Holly Willoughby, Gok Wan MBE, Ruth Langsford, Coleen Nolan, Kelle Bryan and Katie Piper OBE.

The piece was produced by ITV’s Daytime Promo Department, with drone operator Andrew Lawrence - an experienced cinematographer who also holds a Pilot Licence and was responsible for the breathtaking shots of Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean ice skating during a recent routine on Dancing on Ice.

Olivia Heriot-Walker, Creative Head for Promos and Commercial at ITV Studio Daytime said: “The promo was filmed one morning between shows and during commercial breaks under the direction of Aaron Bott. Our drone operator Andrew had to wear a headset to see the same perspective as the drone to allow precise movements in tight interior spaces, and Matt Creed, our Dubbing Mixer, later added each programmes' title music with genuine broadcast noises all recorded live from the galleries.

“It was great to work with all of the talent and crews to capture this alternative perspective within the exciting studio environment.”
