ITV’s schedule for Saturday 10 September. Good Morning Britain will be on air 6am-9.30am presented by Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard.

This will be followed by an ITV news special programme - ITV News: The Proclamation of the King - with continuous news coverage until 12.30pm.

At 12.30pm ITV will have a scheduled ITV News bulletin.

Between 2.15pm and 5pm ITV will air three specially made documentaries.

At 2.15pm, ITV will broadcast a documentary narrated by Nicola Walker, Our Queen, The People’s Stories. During a decades-long reign, the Queen was seen by millions and shook hands with many thousands. But for some there are more personal memories. In this programme people from all walks of life reflect on meeting the Queen and share how those special moments affected their lives.

The Queen in Her Own Words, narrated by Julie Etchingham, will follow at 3.10pm. Speeches, letters, broadcasts and personal memoirs are used to reveal the public and private side of Queen Elizabeth II over nearly a century of tumultuous change. It includes Christmas messages and special broadcasts that brought the nation together in times of tragedy and of triumph.

At 4.05pm, ITV will air Queen and Country, narrated by Alison Steadman. Elizabeth II travelled to more corners of the globe than any monarch before her – a potent and public ambassador for Britain on the world stage. But the private Queen seemed to be at her most content far from the crowds in the great British countryside. This film explores the Queen’s love of that country life whether it be in Scotland, Norfolk or Windsor through the eyes of those who came into contact with her and shared her passion for the rural life.

ITV National and local news will follow between 5-6pm.

Scheduled Saturday night programming will air from 6pm, in different slots from the billed schedule.

All programmes were pre-recorded before the sad news of Her Majesty The Queen’s passing.

At 6pm ITV will air Ninja Warrior UK: Race for Glory, followed by The Masked Dancer at 6.50pm. The Voice UK will follow at 8pm, with Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? at 9.10pm.

ITV News at Ten is on air at 10pm until 10.45pm, followed by another chance to see Queen Elizabeth II - The Longest Reign. Presented by Jonathan Dimbleby, the programme is an authored tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, charting her historic reign, from its unlikely beginnings, through the splendour of the coronation, the triumphs and tragedies of the 20th century, to the present day. Using a powerful archive, this feature length documentary examines the vital role Elizabeth has played both at home, during a period of rapid social and cultural change, and abroad, leading Britain and the Commonwealth on the international political stage.
