Nolly (2022)

Noele (or Nolly to her friends) was a legend in her own lifetime. As flame-haired widow Meg Richardson in the long-running soap opera Crossroads, she was one of the most famous people in Britain. Then in 1981, at the height of the show’s success and the peak of Nolly’s fame, she was axed without ceremony, without warning and with no explanation. With the boss’s words “all good things must come to an end” ringing in her ears, Noele Gordon found herself thrown out of the show that was her life for over 18 years.

From writer Russell T Davies and executive producer Nicola Shindler, starring Helena Bonham Carter and Mark Gatiss.

Nolly will be accompanied by a documentary entitled ‘The Real Nolly’ which will also be available from 2nd February.

United States of Tara (2009-2011)

She's got a husband, two kids and multiple personalities. Emmy® and Golden Globe® winner Toni Collette never knows what or who will happen in this smart, unique and totally unpredictable Showtime Original Comedy Series from executive producer Steven Spielberg. Tara's Alters include "T" the wild-child teenager, "Buck" the rough and tumble biker dude, and "Alice" the type-A homemaker. But with a family that loves her just the way she is, Tara never gives up hope that someday she can just be herself.

Split (2016) - launching on 5th February

M. Night Shyamalan directs this psychological thriller starring James McAvoy. Kevin (McAvoy) is a man who suffers from dissociative identity disorder, meaning that he exhibits numerous distinct personalities which affect his behaviour. Kevin becomes driven to kidnap three young girls - Casey (Anya Taylor-Joy), Claire (Haley Lu Richardson) and Marcia (Jessica Sula) - on their way to a party. While trapped, the girls witness Kevin's personality shift repeatedly and try desperately to figure out a way to escape. Kevin has therapy sessions with Dr Fletcher (Betty Buckley), who slowly realises that Kevin is on the verge of a devastating mental breakdown. As she tries to convince her colleagues that someone with as serious a condition as Kevin can forcibly alter their physiology with their mind, Kevin develops a final, monstrous personality...

Ghislaine Maxwell: Partner in Crime

Ghislaine Maxwell was born into wealth and power, yet she now faces disgrace and a lengthy jail sentence. How did this come about and how did the trial decide her fate? The death of Ghislaine’s father and the disgrace of his fraudulent behaviour forced her to flee London and move to New York, where she soon met and became the lover of Jeffrey Epstein, a rich businessman with a hidden past. The series investigates how they were inextricably linked for ten years and during that time countless young women were groomed into abusive relationships with Epstein.

Friends of the couple at the time like Victoria Hervey, Couri Hay or yoga teacher Maxine Tobias all testify to the nature of Maxwell and Epstein’s relationship.

The Twelve (2022)

This gripping courtroom drama tells the story of 12 ordinary Australians who are selected for jury duty in a murder trial as traumatising as it is controversial, in which a woman stands accused of killing her teenage niece.

Behind the façade of their anonymity, these twelve ordinary people bring with them their own histories. Lives that are as complex as the trial, full of fractured dreams, shameful secrets, hope, fears, personal trauma, and prejudice. Through the multiple lenses of these jurors, audiences will see the fragility and imbalances of the law, and the chaotic and flawed way we attempt to determine justice in our society.

The limited series stars Sam Neil, Marta Dusseldorp and Kate Mulvany.

Superstore S1-6 (2015-2021)

From a producer of The Office comes Superstore, a hilarious workplace comedy venturing into the world of retail hell. Starring America Ferrera and Ben Feldman the giant megastore is staffed by employees ranging from bright-eyed newbies and the seen-it-all veterans to the clueless summer hires and the in-it-for-life managers. Together they tackle the day-to-day grind of rabid bargain hunters riot-causing sales and nap-worthy training sessions.

Starring Roisin Gallagher, Ciarán Hinds, Pom Boyd, Siobhán Cullen, Moe Dunford and newcomer Adam Richardson, The Dry celebrates the joyful chaos and dark absurdities of family life in a series that is all about recovery.

When Shiv Sheridan (Gallagher) returns to Dublin after years of partying in London, she is sober and full of good intentions - but being back with her family makes staying on ‘the dry’ much harder than she expected. As Shiv tries to navigate this new phase of her life, so must her family...and they all have issues they don’t want to face

The Rob Knox Story (2021)

18-year-old Rob Knox is out celebrating his big break in Harry Potter when he learns that his little brother has been threatened at knife point. He and his friends rush to disarm the man but during the struggle, Rob is stabbed several times and is killed. Now his family must try to navigate their grief and anger while under the ever-watchful eye of the invasive British media machine. Meanwhile, more young people than ever are losing their lives on the streets. Something has to be done.

Dawson’s Creek S1-6 (1998-2003)

Childhood friends Dawson Leery (James Van Der Beek) and Joey Potter (Katie Holmes) are now facing the challenge of sustaining their close, platonic relationship as their world changes around them. While Dawson focuses on being a filmmaker and Joey deals with her mother's death and her father's imprisonment, Jennifer Lindley (Michelle Williams), who has just moved from New York to help her grandparents, catches Dawson's eye. And though he's an uncomfortable outsider with his classmates, Dawson's pal Pacey Witter (Joshua Jackson) makes an impression on one of his teachers. After confronting a deadly hurricane, an out-of-wedlock birth by Joey's sister, the exposure of Pacey's affair, a visit by Jen's former boyfriend and a serial killer in Capeside, Joey considers attending school in Europe during the coming year as Jen realizes that a romance with Dawson is out of the question – for now.

Get Out (2017)

When Chris (Daniel Kaluuya), a young African-American man, visits his white girlfriend's (Allison Williams) family estate, he becomes ensnared in the more sinister, real reason for the invitation. At first, Chris reads the family's overly accommodating behaviour as nervous attempts to deal with their daughter's interracial relationship, but as the weekend progresses, a series of increasingly disturbing discoveries lead him to a truth that he could have never imagined. This speculative thriller from Blumhouse (producers of The Visit, Insidious series and The Gift) and the mind of Jordan Peele (Key and Peele) is equal parts gripping thriller and provocative commentary.

Unforgotten Series 5

The new series opens with the clock ticking down to DCI James’s (Sinead Keenan) first day in her new job with an unforeseen and devastating introduction to her family life. Determined to make a good first impression with her new colleagues, will Jess be in the right frame of mind to deliver and inspire the team? And inevitably how will the ghost of much-loved former colleague Cassie Stuart haunt her? After all, Cassie will be big shoes for her to fill. Does she have the resolve, professionalism and spirit to live up to her much-admired and respected predecessor? Jess’s first case is the discovery of human remains in a newly renovated period property in Hammersmith, London. But how long have they been there and is this a murder dating back to the 1930’s or has the body been disposed of in more recent times?

Endeavour Series 9

Shaun Evans reprises his role as DS Endeavour Morse, alongside Roger Allam as DCI Fred Thursday for the ninth and final series of critically-acclaimed and internationally renowned detective drama written by Russell Lewis. The final trilogy of films, set in the early 70s, finds Endeavour and Thursday entering a new era of change both professionally and personally with the return of some familiar faces along the way.

In the opening film, directed by lead actor Shaun Evans, it’s Spring, 1972. Two unexplained deaths turn up ties to the Oxford Concert Orchestra, while a body discovered in a derelict warehouse stokes fears that ‘London business’ has yet again found its way to Oxford. Thursday and Endeavour’s investigation unearths some unsettling connections to cases the duo believed were well and truly behind them.

And & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway

The multi award-winning Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway returns live to ITV1 and ITVX this Spring for the happiest ninety minutes of the week. ITV’s most popular duo will bring the viewers at home and the live studio audience a host of new and exclusive features, live surprises, celebrity guests, returning favourites and outrageous stunts.

Expect high energy live entertainment from start to finish as Saturday night’s most feel good series returns to kick start the weekend with a bang.

Starstruck

The Queen of Country Pop is coming to ITV as Shania Twain takes her place on the panel for the forthcoming second series of Starstruck, which returns to ITV and ITVX in 2023.

International superstar Shania Twain is a five-time GRAMMY winner and one of music’s most renowned trailblazers. With five albums released and more than 100 million albums sold worldwide, Twain remains the top-selling female country pop artist of all time.

The Canadian singer-songwriter will join the Saturday night entertainment format, which sees members of the public transformed into music icons. Shania will sit on the show’s judging panel alongside returning stars Adam Lambert, Beverley Knight and Jason Manford. Olly Murs will once again host the show.

Starstruck launched on ITV in February 2022, with a consolidated 4.7 million tuning into its first episode, making the show one of the biggest new entertainment commissions of the year.

BRITBOX UK

BritBox UK will be streaming the all four series of Murder Most Horrid, starring Dawn French from 2nd February. Tense drama The Responder, starring Martin Freeman, will launch on the service on 9th February, followed by gripping mystery mini-series Five Days starring David Oyelowo on 16th February. 2006’s Sweeney Todd starring Ray Winstone rounds off the month on 23rd February.
