Why Love Island and why now?
I’ve finished Uni now, I’m done with situationships and I have a better mindset towards relationships. There are so many things aligning for me, a good woman to add to that will be the icing on the cake.

What do you think you’ll bring to the Villa?
I’m charming, I’m going to bring good looks and some language lessons. I’m going to teach the other Islanders Portuguese, Spanish and a little bit of Creole. I think I’ve got every slice of the pie.

What’s your ‘elevator pitch’ for why someone should want to date you?
I’m sweet like chocolate and who can resist chocolate?

If there was one thing you’d want your new fellow Islanders to know about you, what would it be?
I have a strict morning routine, so if I wake anyone up sorry, not sorry. I’m always singing, I get up between 6 and 7am full of energy!

Why would you say you’re single?
Commitment issues.

How would friends/family describe you?
My friends and family would say I’m very gentle, very respectful, good manners, confident and I’m someone that knows how to read the room. Some friends call me sexy!

Best / worst date story?
I was in college and I was quite shy back then. There was a girl that was always hitting on me. She invited me to the cinema. I was there waiting for her and she turned up with all of her female and male friends, so I got frightened and I ran away! For two years of college they clowned me for it. My fight or flight instinct carried me away.

What gives you the ‘ick’?
When I’m out eating with a fine woman and she’s chomping on her food. Another ick is being unnecessarily disrespectful, especially to parents, family members, or waiters.

Do you fall in love quickly?
I would say I fall too quickly to be honest. When I look at beautiful ladies, before I’ve said hello to them I’ve already fallen in love. I’m already planning the wedding.

If you had to pick three of the most important things you look for in a partner what would they be?
Ambition, good manners and a pretty face that I can’t stop looking at!

Tell us something not many people know about you?
I can speak a couple of different languages. I speak Portuguese, Creole my home language from Cape Verde, English of course and Spanish as well.

This year marks series 10 of Love Island. Do you have a favourite show moment from any of the previous seasons?
When Indiyah said to Dami ‘May the best heartbreaker win’ at the Casa Amor recoupling. I loved it. Or when Kaz walked in with Josh, and Georgia was standing there single at Casa Amor. Casa Amor always brings the fireworks!

If you had to pick three celebrities to be in the Villa with you as fellow Islanders who would they be and why?
I would pick a beautiful singer called Coco Jones. You know the Greek Mythology statue? I’d ask her to stand that way so I could just look at her and take it in. Eye candy! A Nigerian artist called Rema, for music and a partner in crime. Kehlani - I love my music. I always think about myself in a 90’s RnB video when I’m approaching a woman.

If money was no object, what would be your ideal first date?
I would love to go strawberry picking, I’d want to have a field spelt out in her name, then I’d have to ask her to be my girlfriend. So I’d like to plant a field full of strawberries.
