London, 26 February 2025 – ITV Studios continues to extend its global reach with the South African commissions of Side Hustlers and Double the Money, set to debut through Primedia. Both these formats, presented at London TV Screenings in 2024 for the first time, celebrate entrepreneurship which strongly resonate with South African audiences, reflecting the country's thriving business culture and appetite for innovative entertainment.

Side Hustlers, originally developed by Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine, follows entrepreneurs as they transform their passion projects into full-fledged businesses. The show aired on The Roku Channel in the US and has been commissioned for a second season. South Africa will be the first territory to produce a local adaptation of this format.

Double the Money, a UK-originated format, pits pairs against the clock to double their starting funds through strategic and high-pressure challenges. Having secured its first international commission outside the UK in Denmark for Warner Discovery's Max, it now lands in South Africa.

Meanwhile, My Mum,Your Dad is heading to Belgium for the first time, as RTL brings the local adaptation to Wallonia. Belgium is the eleventh territory after Brazil, Poland and French Canada that were announced last year. My Mum, Your Dad, created by father-daughter duo Greg and Haley Daniels, has captivated audiences worldwide with its unique spin on the dating show genre, offering single parents a second chance at love with their adult children secretly playing matchmaker.

Following the success of I Kissed a Boy and I Kissed a Girl on the BBC, where it became one of the year’s most talked-about dating series, Videoland in the Netherlands recorded its own I Kissed a Girl in South Africa last month to air in spring and Norway is set to introduce I Kissed a Boy soon.

Ruth Berry, President, Global Partnerships & Zoo 55, ITV Studios, commented: “We are thrilled to see these entrepreneurial and diverse formats expanding into new markets. We hope these fresh concepts are just what viewers have been waiting for.”
