Iggy Azalea says her next album might be a "bit sweeter"

Iggy Azalea says she might make her next album a bit "sweeter" after her boyfriend criticised her debut record's lack of love songs.

The Australian is due to release her maiden collection 'The New Classic' on Monday (April 21).

However, its lack of romantic songs seems to have irked Azalea's boyfriend, basketball player Nick Young.

Speaking to the Daily Star, the rapper said that she might have to make her follow-up album a bit soppier as a result.

She said: "Nick said to me, 'Why don't you have any love songs on your album? It's all 'I hate you' songs'. He's right, all my love songs are 'f**k love' songs, but that's where my head was when I wrote the album.

"Maybe my next album will be a little sweeter."

Azalea meanwhile recently confirmed plans to play at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire on September 17.

The gig will follow on from Azalea's slot at this year's Wireless Festival, which is taking place in London and Birmingham in June.
