Iggy Azalea has dominated the nominations for this year's American Music Awards.

The Australian rapper has received six nods for the event, which will take place at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on November 23.

She has been nominated for awards such as Artist of the Year and Single of the Year.

John Legend, Katy Perry, Pharrell Williams have each grabbed five nods, whilst Lorde has received four.

Beyoncé, Eminem, Imagine Dragons, OneRepublic and One Direction all have three nominations.

Nominees are based on Billboard-related factors such as album and digital singles sales, radio airplay, streaming and social activity.

The winners will be chosen via a public vote.
