Iggy Azalea criticises label for not allowing her to make video

Iggy Azalea has taken a swipe at her record label after being denied the chance to make a music video for one of her new tracks.

The rapper recently unleashed the song 'Zillion' online as a precursor to her new album cycle.

However, she took to Twitter on Thursday (January 21) to criticise her label Virgin/EMI and its boss Ted Cockle for not pushing the song further.

Azalea wrote: "Bad news update:my record label Virgin/EMI seems to feel the response to my viral record "zillon" wasnt good enough & im not allowed a video.

"I felt like it was dope so, whatever. ted cockle doesnt wanna see me shine. what can i say.

"Anyhow i could say ALOT - but ill keep it mildly professional. Just wanted to let some of you guys asking know whats happening [sic]."

She then added today (January 22): "I didnt intend on making anyone think my album or single was being delayed yesterday. I was just sharing what was going on with a viral vid.

"So dont stress too much, lovely supportive people."

The Australian released her debut album 'The New Classic' in 2014 and its follow-up 'Digital Distortion' is expected to land later this year.

She recently confirmed that the first full single would be called 'Team'.
