Iggy Azalea admits pre-show nerves before Robin Thicke EMA duet

Iggy Azalea has revealed that her duet with Robin Thicke at this year's MTV EMAs came about at the last minute.

The Australian joined up with the sultry singer for his rendition of the track 'Blurred Lines' at the awards ceremony in Amsterdam last night (November 10).

Speaking to Capital FM, Azalea admitted that she was feeling especially nervous before hitting the stage, saying:

"I was very nervous because I didn't know I was going to be doing this until a few days before so I was very scared I might mess up but I had a great time out there with him."

Talking about Thicke's reaction to the performance, the rapper said: "Yeah, he sent me a text message afterwards after and he said he loved it and everybody seems to be very positive about it – I'm excited."

Azalea is the latest female star to collaborate with Thicke live, with the singer tapping up Miley Cyrus for August's infamous MTV VMAs performance.

That slot, however, was panned by the public for being too raunchy as a result of their dance moves.

Thicke's 'Blurred Lines' meanwhile regularly also comes under fire for objectifying women and promoting rape - two criticisms which the singer denies.
