Looking for an uplifting, summer, indie-pop anthem to get you in the mood for the end of lockdown? Then ‘When This Blows Over’ by UK band Impossible Knots might just be the track for you!
With its unique combination of distorted guitars, thumping bass lines, chiming synths, a catchy melody and feel-good lyrics, this indie tune is a must for anyone stuck behind a computer screen at home but dreaming of UK summer music festivals!
Singer Matt Anthony said: “When This Blows Over is about looking forward to catching up with friends and loved ones we’ve all missed as we prepare to come out of this third lockdown. We wanted to write something positive and memorable to help lift people’s spirits.”
Evolving out of lockdown 2020, Impossible Knots are Matt Anthony, Tom Green, Andy Squires and James Crump. The band grew up on the south coast and they have recently been gaining a loyal following in Brighton after Melita Dennett played their debut single Rainbows on her Radio Reverb Brighton radio show.
When This Blows Over also features two B sides, ‘Every Day But Not All of the Time’ and ‘You Are’.
Impossible Knots are Matt Anthony, Tom Green, Andy Squires, and James Crump. The band all spent their formative years, growing up in Portsmouth.
Fast forward a fair few years and the world is in lockdown. With time to reflect and re-evaluate, the passion for creating was re-ignited, bringing the four together. Now in different parts of the country, they utilised WhatsApp, Dropbox and Logic to share and bounce creative ideas.
A strong production line of shared inspiration evolved and, bound by a universal love of Radiohead,
Their sound is an eclectic mix of Experimental Indie Rock tinged with Electronica.
