James Arthur denies he has been dropped by label

James Arthur has reassured fans after reports suggested that he has been dropped by his record label.

The singer signed with Simon Cowell's Syco imprint after winning the UK X Factor in 2012.

However, lyrics included on new mixtape song 'Follow the Leader' were said to be the last straw after a series of outspoken incidents.

The reported line that clinched the deal was: "I'm gonna blow up your family like I'm a terrorist".

Arthur has now taken to Twitter to deny the claims, saying:

"As far as I know I am still with syco but I am exclusively signed to Sony. People look too deeply into the media circus. It's about music."

He added: "#AllTheWorldsAStage is coming soon...Free to download online for all the fans to keep you going until album two. Thanks to all that support."

Arthur previously gave up control of his Twitter account after a series of outspoken tweets before ultimately returning to the website.

However, he seemingly fired his Twitter team recently, vowing to give the job to a fan.
