Musician James Arthur has treated fans to an update on the progress of his highly anticipated new record. 

Last night, the former 'X Factor' winner told his Twitter followers that his "album's being mixed this week".

Arthur also confirmed that the cover image for the album has been taken and at the end of June he admitted that he was selecting the lead single with his team: 

"Album soundin' mint and we are about to choose the official single. It's all happenin'!"

Arthur, meanwhile, recently came in second place in Pressparty's latest readers' poll, which was to find your favourite act to have come from a TV vocal talent show. Read more about the results by clicking here.
