James Arthur has won the Comeback of the Year honour in the 2016 Digital Spy Reader Awards.

The singer picked up 38% of the votes in the poll, beating away competition from Craig David, Busted, Mike Posner and Bros.

The former X Factor man enjoyed huge chart success with the song 'Say You Won't Let Go' this year when he resigned to Syco after previously being dropped. The track came second in Digital Spy's readers' poll Best Single category, losing out to Little Mix's winning 'Shout Out To My Ex'.
