James Arthur praises The Vamps: 'Diggin' your tunes!'

Singer-songwriter James Arthur took to his official Twitter page earlier today (October 28) and revealed his excitement at the music rising stars The Vamps have been making recently.

The 'X Factor' winner tweeted: "Hadn't heard it till this morning but really diggin your tune dudes! @TheVampsband #LOVE."

Guitarist James McVey saw the message of praise and responded, telling Arthur that the lads are all big fans of his talent: "Thanks mate! @JamesArthur23 used to watch you sing songs on a sofa on Facebook about 5 years ago!"

The 'You're Nobody 'Til Somebody Loves You' hitmaker then responded, obviously impressed that The Vamps enjoyed his older YouTube videos: "@TheVampsJames haha no way!! Your great man keep up the good work! And good name #LOVE."

McVey added: "Yeahhh crazy right?! @JamesArthur23 thanks! Loving your recent tune as well!"

Arthur recently made some choice remarks about fellow 'X Factor' winner Matt Cardle, describing him as "drab", so this new praise for the pop-rock quartet is a little surprising. He also hit out at boybands on the social networking site earlier this month, telling his followers that there are "more f**king important things in life than boybands":

"Sorry if it's not necessarily my thing musically or if I think some of it is imposed on us..Sorry if that means I have a massive head lol. What ya gunna do about it? Shoot me? Make my day...Someone who practically brought me up/ a dear relative of mine just died! There's more f**king important things in life than boybands I'm afraid."
