James Bay on dreaming of success: 'It's really coming true'

'Hold Back The River' sensation James Bay has confessed that his success has really surprised him.

During an interview with ITV's Lorraine in the UK this morning, the musician explained that the past 12 months have been a whirlwind and he can't believe how receptive the public have been to his songs:

"It (my success) does blow my mind. The whole thing, the whole thing has been an amazing ride and it's still going, you know. We've still got a lot of touring to do. A lot of this is what I hoped to be able to do with my life and with music. And it's happening, it's coming true!"

Bay went onto add that his schedule for 2016 is pretty busy already, but he's looking forward to the end of the year when he will have more time to focus on songwriting:

"We've got touring and shows in the diary until August/September time. What I'm really waiting for is the moment after that, when the campaign ends for this album, to take all of the bits of songs and ideas that I'm very excited about but that I need time to stop and just flesh that stuff out. Because it's just the bare bones of things at the moment."
