James Bay says next album will be more 'raucous'

James Bay believes his second record will be more lively than his first.

The singer-songwriter released his debut effort 'Chaos And The Calm' last year.

However, he told Teen Vogue that he wants to put more of the rowdy live spirit found on stage into its sound.

Bay said: "In one word, it will be just a bit more raucous. I love that word, and that's how I feel on stage. I want to take the attitude I've had on stage into the studio.

"This time around, I'm going to take it more live - in every sense of the word - attitude into the studio. I'm excited to take what's gone on the road into the studio and see what I can do to it - see if I can mess with it again and find something else exciting, that isn't just a live approach into the studio but something else.

"I don't know how to describe it yet, because it will be new and wonderful."

No details about a release date for the album have yet been confirmed.
