James Bay wants to focus on recording: 'I'm excited to park touring for now'

'Hold Back The River' sensation James Bay has revealed that he's ready to finish touring for a while so that he can put all of his energy into working on a new collection of songs.

The star has been on the road for some time, but is finally ready to 'park that' so he can devote his time to recording. He told BBC Newsbeat:

"I cannot wait. But I'm not used to the studio. It's been a while. I could tour forever but I'm excited to park that for the moment; write and record new stuff so I can come back with even more songs in the set."

He went onto add that he isn't sure exactly where he will record his next album and is currently trying to think of the ideal location for such a creative venture: "It's a whole alien experience. I could go find some shack in the middle of nowhere, Bon Iver-style or find some fancy studio in the middle of the city."

Bay will return to America this September for a full headlining tour, which will kick off on the 14th and will take him through to October 8, and you can click here to see his full live schedule for the run.
