JAY-Z on 'The Story of O.J.': “We all make money, then we all lose money, as artists"

Rap legend Jay-Z has released a short documentary video for one of his album tracks, 'The Story of O.J.' (see below).

The video discusses the long history of racism in America and features Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar and Will Smith

About the documentary, the music mogul says:

"'The Story of O.J.' is really a song about we as a culture, having a plan, how we’re gonna push this forward.

“We all make money, and then we all lose money, as artists especially. But how, when you have some type of success, to transform that into something bigger.

"We tend to, as black people, cause we never had anything, which is understandable, we get to a place, and we just think we separate ourselves from the culture.

"Like O.J. would get to a space where he’s like, 'I’m not black, I’m O.J.'''.

The 4 minute and 16-second clip is the latest "visual" to be released off the star's "4:44" album, which has already gone platinum in less than one week since being made available on Tidal.
