Jay-Z wants daughter Blue Ivy to "love herself" and "know who she is"

Music mogul Jay-Z has opened up about his 9-month-old daughter, Blue Ivy, and exclaimed "my family’s amazing"

In a new interview with The New York Times Style Magazine, the '99 Problems' hitmaker spoke about his own upbringing and explained that he doesn't want his baby to go through what he did:

"We would fight each other. My brother would beat me up. I was going to have to fight, I was going to have to go through some things, and they were preparing me."

He added that Blue Ivy “doesn’t have to be tough," and he will encourage her to "love herself, she has to know who she is, she has to be respectful, and be a moral person."
