Joe Jonas steps up to Lorde over Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift comments

Singer Lorde has already been garnering lots of media attention for her frank comments about fellow female pop stars.

The star took issue with Selena Gomez’s song ‘Come and Get It’ in an interview last month, saying that the lyrics encouraged women to be passive in relationships. She also recently claimed that Taylor Swift was “so flawless” that she gave young girls an unfair idea of what it is to be beautiful. She later apologized for the comments after suffering a Twitter backlash.

Now the latest person to come to the defense of the pop queens is Joe Jonas, who took to Twitter to blast Lorde for her apparent attacks on his female peers.

He tweeted: “Hey @lordemusic you say call me Queen B but you shouldn't be attacking all the true Queen B-tches's #respect.”
