Joe McElderry changed the lyrics in his cover of Beyoncé's 'Halo' during a gig in Harlow last night (March 13).

The singer was recently the subject of a mock petition instigated by Popjustice, who wanted the X Factor star to change the lyrics to 'Halo' whilst performing in Harlow in England.

Much to the surprise of the website, the singer did indeed attempt to change each 'Halo' mention to the place name 'Harlow'.

McElderry's Set Your Soul Alive tour meanwhile is due to run until June.

His last date is scheduled to take place at Hastings on June 28.
