Kate Bush in line to land first UK No.1 album in three decades

Kate Bush is on course to reach No.1 on the UK albums chart for the first time in nearly 30 years with her new effort 'Before The Dawn'.

On Monday (November 28) the live album, which was recorded during her 2014 London residency, is 4,000 units ahead of Little Mix's 'Glory Days'. The girl group's effort slips to No.2.

Bush's last No.1 record in the UK was the compilation 'The Whole Story', which reached the top spot in January 1987. 'Never For Ever' hit No.1 in 1980 and 'Hounds of Love' did the same five years later. Bush is also the only female artist to notch a top three album in each of the last five decades in the UK.

At No.3 on Monday's midweek update is Michael Ball and Alfie Boe's 'Together', which rises one place, while Elvis Presley's 'The Wonder of You' is also up one. In at No.5 is The Weeknd's new effort 'Starboy'.

Andre Rieu's 'Falling In Love' enters at No.6, Busted's comeback effort 'Night Driver' is No.8 and TV man Bradley Walsh is at No.10 with his record 'Chasing Dreams'.
