Iconic singer-songwriter Kate Bush has revealed that she is planning a new release after her 'Director's Cut' album comes out later this month. 

She spoke to BBC Radio 4's Front Row about her career and let slip that she is back in the studio and working on new material:

"With quite a few of these new songs, I've kind of gone back to an older approach where I would sit at the piano and keep working them, so they're a lot more worked in before they go to the studio."

When asked how many songs she has completed for the potential new album she wouldn't answer, but when prompted by the interviewer who pushed with "how many songs, most of them written?", she replied with a simple "yes".

Despite her in-studio progress, Bush has no idea when the release may come and added:

"I don't know. It's very frustrating that albums take as long as they do."
