The USA's Recording Industry Association of America has confirmed that Kendrick Lamar has now achieved Platinum certification for his single 'Alright'. 

To reach Platinum in America for a single, an artist has to sell over 1,000,000 units so this is an impressive achievement.

Ed Sheeran secured the same feat with his latest single 'Shape of You'. Elsewhere, his track 'Castle on the Hill' went Gold, Børns has achieved Platinum certification with 'Electric Love', and Schoolboy Q went Platinum with 'Studio'.
