Jäger Soho welcomed, for the first time, the music director and drummer MckNasty on what was his vinyl session debut.

During the session MckNasty performed his recently released ‘Kemet’, a track full of hope that inspires listeners to be positive and leave the darkness behind. ‘Kemet’ will be part of the dynamic ‘MckNasty The EP’ coming out soon, a fusion of jazz, hip-hop, gospel and MckNasty’s love of cinematic string arrangements.

Vinyl Sessions are an ongoing series at Jäger Soho (the collaborative space created by Jägermeister and Soho Radio) where artists perform live and record the tracks straight to vinyl creating a one-off acetate. The vinyl is then played for the first time, live on air. It's a fully unique concept, and a really intimate performance. Previous sessions have included TOY, IDLES and Deaf Havana.

Starting his professional career at 15 recording on Keziah Jones’ seminal album ‘Black Orpheus’. MckNasty’s performances captivate audiences whether solo or as the host of his fireball sessions.

As musical director, MckNasty tasked himself with disrupting the status quo when it comes to live Hip Hop performance, translating the energy from recording to live via full band. MckNasty bought a palpable live aesthetic to British urban music with Wretch, Devlin and Stormzy, a talent that turned Tinie Tempah’s stages into a full-on rock concert selling out UK arenas.
