Exploring more of a "singer-songwriter" orientated direction, the track details the darker side of songwriting and musicianship.

Becoming a musician involves inviting yourself into a world of chaos, artistic expression, self-doubt, instability, creativity, euphoria and despair, a world that drains you of your energy and functionality, but is constantly topping you up with ambition. It's a crazy ride, but one that is never boring.

This is what the song's theme revolves around, the acceptance that this new adventure is crazy, and may lead to trouble, but that ultimately, you can "send in your storm clouds, bring out your dead" because this is my calling, and I'm going to make a success of it.

The song moves away from the "full band" sound of Till Midnight, and closer to the classic commercial songwriter route (Passenger, Jack Savaretti, Chris Stapleton), whilst still maintaining the clever lyrics of old (see if you can spot the Julian Baker reference!).

Already 2 EPs and 1 acoustic album down, Tim Brooks has played at a number of festivals in 2018, including a set at Stone Free at the O2, and has just returned from Poland, where he played a set for Balcony TV, and supported international artist (and one of his influences) Will Varley.
