Love Island UK contestant Megan Barton-Hanson joined LIT Entertainment News today, Tuesday, November 24 for an exclusive live interview, in which she responded to the social media storm surrounding her DM exchange with Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Scott Disick.

Megan joined hosts Bradford How, Sloane Glass and Ruba Wilson to discuss her reaction to Scott’s DM slide, who’s really behind those messages, and why she’s not in a hurry to apologize to Eyal.

On her first reaction to the DMs from Scott:
Honestly, I didn’t know if it was a joke, I didn’t know what the situation was. But it was mind-blowing that a 40 year old guy was trying to troll a 20-something year old. I was like, what's wrong with you?
I didn’t take it that seriously. I mean, I guess Scott did write a whole essay. But to me, it’s just funny. And weird. We looked at the time and my management were like, ‘He must have sent this at like 5am.’ So I don’t know, maybe he was just a bit drunk.

On whether Eyal is the one behind the DMs:
Just when you think 2020 couldn’t get any weirder, what the hell has just happened? I mean, he might be. But then, he’s with his girlfriend, who is stunning. They're so cute and happy together. I don’t know. But since when do American people use the term ‘mugged off’? Like, do you guys say ‘mugged off’? It’s not a thing, right? Whoever sent this or advised him to send this was definitely British. And ‘program’. He was like, ‘I’ve watched the program’. Do you guys say ‘program’?

On whether Eyal still has feelings for her:
There’s no way Eyal has feelings for me anymore. He’s got a stunning girlfriend; I’m into girls, so I don’t know what he’s up to. It’s just odd and bizarre. It was so funny I couldn’t help but share it. But at the same time I’m like, ‘Scott, are you ok, hun?’

On the age gap between Scott Disick and Amelia Hamlin
I mean, to him, I’m probably middle aged. Like, the fact he’s trolling someone who’s 26 and he’s, what? 40? But when I put it into perspective, he’s dating a 19 year old, so I’m probably old to him.

On whether she owes Eyal an apology:
Not at all! This is what blew my mind: we’ve actually hung out before in London, and I’ve met his girlfriend Delilah [Belle Hamlin]. So I don’t understand what the issue is.
Like, it was nuts. What did he want me to say to that? A written apology? I’ll get it delivered by a carrier pigeon, don’t worry hun.

On whether she responded to Scott:
No! Because it’s just ludicrous. I mean, I guess Scott wants to be the protective brother in law, but he’s pushing it to the limits I guess.

On whether she’s ever met Scott Disick:
No, never. That’s why I was so confused. So when he first slid in and he wanted to ask questions about Love Island I didn’t even know he was dating Eyal’s girlfriend’s sister.

On whether Scott owes her an apology:
I mean, I’m quite thick skinned - I don’t take it seriously. But, it’s just odd behaviour. If I was him with a beautiful 19 year old on my arm, that’s the last thing I’d be doing, digging up the past from two years ago.

Megan’s message for Scott:
Someone needs to keep hold of your phone after a few beverages, I would say. And a pat on the back for being a protective brother in law, I guess.
