Why Lauren Jauregui and Dinah Jane are the perfect girlband role models
Just over a week ago on September 11, Dinah Jane made her debut as a solo artist, by bursting onto the stage during New York Fashion Week.
And supporting her, was no other than her Fifth Harmony bandmate, Lauren Jauregui, which was refreshing to see, given that the media have been famously known for pitting females against each other in the past, as Christina Aguilera pointed out recently on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
Jane performed her upcoming single Bottled Up, which also features Ty Dolla $ign and Marc E. Bassy. The highly anticipated track is set to be released this Friday on September 21.
After the event, Jauregui uploaded two clips of the performance onto Instagram.
Jane reposted the second Insta story, saying to Jauregui: "love you longtime mamas xxxxxx."
Although rivalry has, and often is still poignant in the industry, it's fair to say that the Fifth Harmony girls have shown us that it shouldn't and doesn't need to be.
Dinah Jane signed to L.A. Reid's Hitco label this year, and is on the verge of dropping her debut solo single.
Lauren Jauregui won two awards recently - Choice Female Hottie and Choice Electronic/Dance Song for her All Night collaboration with Steve Aoki; featured on Halsey's Strangers; and collaborated with Marian Hill on Back To Me, which she performed with the duo at Coachella in April this year.
And last, but certainly not least, Normani slayed with her performance at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards in May, plus her Love Lies collaboration with Khalid has now received RIAA 2x Multi-Platinum certification, meaning that it has sold over 2 million units in the US.
