LeAnn Rimes reveals that she isn’t holding back any “emotional truth” from her upcoming album, writing clearly about her relationship with her husband actor Eddie Cibrian.

The pair began an affair while both were married to different people. The scandal caught headlines all over and meant that the couple were followed constantly.

But Rimes has no plans to downplay the drama on her latest release.

“There is every emotion a human being could experience on this record. I'm most proud that I can evoke these emotions in everyone," Rimes told Reuters.

"After 20 years of making music, it's a completely different place to be singing and writing from," she said. "These songs are my emotional truth."

Rimes also expressed thanks to her husband for allowing her to be so frank, crediting their mutual involvement in show business as the source of his understanding.

"It's amazing to have that support and understanding of what it is to tell a story and be an artist, and he's never said, ‘You can't say that," she said.
