Label boss, Lempo and SupaEarth Records head honcho, Ruff Diamond both originate from Manchester, UK. This collaboration is a real fusion of each artists influences and true sound. Fresh off the back of remixing each other, respectively with Lempo giving Ruff Diamond’s ‘Rock The Discotheque’ a re-rub on SupaEarth last Summer and Ruff Diamond delivering the goods on Lempo’s ‘No More’ for Applique Music in return, earlier this year. Since then the pair have collaborated on a remix project for London’s Big Mix Up Records on the reggae classic ‘No No No’ by iconic artist, Dawn Penn. Now they’ve outdone themselves with this original collaboration, ‘Dance Master’.

The track is filled with Hip-Hop, Funk and House influences from both artists roots - bringing the best bits from their years of experience, this jam features a magic touch of live rhythm guitar and bass from Ruff Diamond alongside Lempo’s raw B-Boy vibes on vocals, add to that the pairs explosive production skills intertwined within the percussion programming and brass arrangement... you’ve got a sure fire hit for the dancefloors. Topped off with mastering by Zoran Jurisic at MK Mastering, this single delivers the funk and the hype to make you 'Shake Your Ass, Faster!' – Oh and there’s sirens... cause we all love a siren, right?

Mike McGuinness, pka Lempo, is a Grammy-shortlisted producer, writer, DJ and radio presenter. Mike’s music career began in 2006 with residencies at Manchester’s now legendary Sankeys and Venus nightclubs. His success has seen him perform for global club brands including Café Mambo, Ministry of Sound, Cream and The Warehouse Project. As a producer Mike has remixed artists such as Snoop Dogg and General Levy, as well as releasing original music on prestigious New York labels, Strictly Rhythm and Todd Terry’s InHouse Records.

Chris Robinson, pka Ruff Diamond, is a multi-million selling producer, DJ, remixer, songwriter and musician. Chris has worked with artists such as Beyoncé, Mark Morrison, Teedra Moses, Shapeshifters and Che’Nelle, releasing music on all the major record labels, and many coveted Indie labels. Recent releases as artist and remixer include imprints such as Big Love, Re-Loved, Hot Digits, Midnight Riot, Masterworks Music and of course, Applique Music.
