Lewis Capaldi's Someone You Loved hits No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The track by the 23-year-old Scottish singer-songwriter, previously ruled multiple charts worldwide, including the Official UK Singles.

Capaldi co-wrote the track with Sam Elliot "ROMANS" Roman, Tom Barnes, Pete Kelleher and Ben Kohn.

The music star from Whitburn in West Lothian took to social media to celebrate his hit song with various American-themed images on both Twitter and Instagram (see below), showing his face painted in the stars and stripes of the US flag and a t-shirt referring to himself as 'Lewis Capaldi - America's Sweetheart'.
