At just 13 years old, Miami artist Cycy is already making waves in the music industry. But it's not just her talent that is turning heads, it's also her mission to break stereotypes and empower others.
Cycy has always been passionate about music and about bringing awareness to the dangers of bullying and the effects of body and image shaming. Through her music, she hopes to inspire others to be comfortable and confident in their skin.
Growing up in a society where certain beauty standards are constantly pushed onto young people, Cycy knows firsthand the negative impact it can have on self-esteem and mental health. That's why she has made it her mission to combat these harmful societal expectations through her art.
Society often puts pressure on young girls to look a certain way in order to be successful. This can lead to body and image shaming, which can hurt kids, teens, and young adults.
Cycy has experienced bullying firsthand from a young age which helped her develop and build her confidence. Often being judged because of her unique style she has learned to use the hate and turn it into love and a source for education and information.
Through her music, Cycy hopes to show others that they don't have to fit into society's narrow definition of what an artist should look like. She wants to inspire others to be true to themselves and break free from stereotypes.
Supporters will see and learn more with the release of Cycy's debut EP "Misunderstood," which will be available on December 25, 2023.
