Little Mix worried about their music: 'We were scared because it wasn't good enough'

Girl group Little Mix are gearing up to unveil their third studio album, which they have described as "one of our best", but they haven't always been so confident about their material.

Jesy Nelson told Britain's The Mirror newspaper that she and the girls were genuinely concerned about their musical direction around the time that 'Salute' came out and sat together to listen to the record, which ended up making them feel very worried:

“It was worrying because we had to keep telling people everything was fine. We went to Perrie’s house to listen to it and write notes on what we could improve. But we were like, ‘This isn’t good enough’. It was mismatched, it didn’t fit together. We were scared.”

Speaking to BBC News recently, Jesy Nelson confessed that their new record is very different to their previous offerings and they can't wait to share it: "It's a very pop album. [It's] completely different to 'Salute', which was quite a dark album and quite R&B. This is very pop - very personality driven, and I think it's one of our best."
