Little Mix: ''The X Factor' is 'like watching a film you've seen before'

Girl group Little Mix have opened up about 'The X Factor' and revealed that it's something that has been so popular for so long that it would probably benefit from a year off as there's an over-saturation of vocal talent shows on the television at the moment.

Jade Thirlwall told Digital Spy that while she loves the show, it could probably do with taking some time off the air so that people get excited about it again:

"I think The X Factor is a brilliant show, but it has [been on] every year and maybe people will appreciate it more. Like, you know when you split up with someone and then you get back with them and it's even better?"

Songstress Jesy Nelson added: "It's getting a bit predictable. You kind of know what's going to happen. Simon's going to go [raises hand], 'Give me another song', and all that. I feel like I literally know what's going to happen next. It's like watching a film you've seen 10 times."

Little Mix, meanwhile, will release their new single 'Love Me Like You' tomorrow and they recently told press that they had a lot of creative control over their new music, which is great because people assume they're 'X Factor' puppets:

"We have been in control from the start. I think we’re quite lucky. But I just don’t think people believe that. We do tell people, but I think because we’re from X Factor, people think we’re these puppets, and we’re not.”
