Little Mix on 'Secret Love Song': 'Some fans said it helped them to come out'

Girl group Little Mix have revealed that there's no greater feeling than knowing their music and lyrics have inspired or touched someone to be the most genuine version of themselves.

During a recent chat with Capital FM, the beauties explained that since releasing 'Secret Love Song' they've had lots of messages from fans saying that the track has given them courage in different situations:

"I don't know what reaction we expected [...] but I think this has been the best reaction to any of the mid-tempo songs we've brought out. It can be about couples that aren't allowed to be together, or who feel like they can't be together, it could be about being in love with someone who doesn't know you're in love with them..."

The 'Black Magic' hitmakers went onto add that some of their Mixers even confessed that the song gave them the strength to come out to their loved ones, which is incredible:

"We've had loads of people say that it's helped them almost to come out - to say that they're gay - and that's an incredible thing. It's so inspiring when we hear these stories from the music we're putting out."

Little Mix, meanwhile, are set to perform live at the 2016 BRIT Awards, which will take place on February 24 at London's iconic O2 Arena. Perrie Edwards is particularly excited about the slot: "We can’t believe that we’re performing first of all. It’s going to be so exciting, we’re going all out. It’s the biggest performance of our lives."
